How long will my car parts request stay on your system?

Your car parts request will be on our system for 7 working days. If you hear nothing within 24 hours please contact us again and we will re-submit your request for car parts. Our car breakers yards and car parts suppliers are constantly receiving new stock so your car part will more than likely become available at some point in the future.


Am I obliged to purchase if I make a request for car parts?

No. You're under no obligation whatsoever. It is totally your decision whether to purchase goods from a member of our network of car breakers yards and car parts suppliers and who you purchase them from.


What guarantee / warranty will I get for any car parts I purchase ?

All car parts suppliers and car breakers yards registered with Partscy must give a minimum 30 day guarantee on all used parts they sell, however many car parts and car breakers yards will offer longer guarantees. Please discuss this with the suppliers when they contact you.


What success rate does Partscy have in locating car parts?

It is impossible to accurately state how many times our network of car parts suppliers and car breakers yards find used car parts for customers, but indications suggest that car parts are found for requests between 85% and 95% of the time.


How do I pay for my used car parts ?

We accept checks, visas, or cash. Although we accept cheques, this will normally result in a delay in you getting your car parts. We advise against anybody paying by cash.


When will I receive my car parts?

Most car parts suppliers and car breakers yards will be able to offer 3 – 7 days delivery, however this should be discussed with the car parts supplier or car breakers yard at point of sale.

What happens if the parts I receive are wrong or damaged?

In the unlikely event of a problem arising you should, in the first instance, contact the car parts supplier or car breakers yard directly. We operate a customer services department which is available to any customer who has placed a request for car parts via our call centre.
If you placed your request via our free to use website you will have seen the Terms and Conditions that state you will not be entitled to help from our customer service dept. Instead we recommend contacting your bank/credit card company and seek their assistance.

We prefer to handle Car Parts Requests by email, we provide a quoting system to help with this process.


What details should I provide in the Parts field of the Car Parts Request ?

It helps to be as specific as possible when sending us your request for car parts. The more information you can give us in your car parts request, the higher likelihood you have of getting a match for your part, and the fewer contacts you will receive from car breakers yards who only have a close match. Some makes of car can have up to 20 different ECU types fitted to them for example. The following information (if applicable) is always helpful to enable a successful match for your car parts request : Make,Model,Engine Number,Chassis Number,Part Number,Engine Type(Petrol/Diesel/Injection)

Partscy will respect your privacy. We appreciate that you have provided personal information for the sole purpose of requesting Car Parts. We will not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Many people worry about giving their credit card numbers on the Internet, but this actually protects you, as you can have any un-authorized charges reversed by your credit card company. Using a credit card also helps protect you because you can have the charge reversed if you have any problems with the online auto merchant.

Can you explain shipping and handling charges?

Shipping and handling are usually quoted with the price of the part. If you are unsure, please call us at 7000 1180.


Is the labor covered under your warranty?

All of our parts are covered by a product-only warranty. We do not offer labor warranties at this time.


Who pays the freight costs on used auto parts that are returned?

We do if the incorrect part was sent, was not in the condition stated at the time of the sale, or failed with in the warranty period. You pay the freight if the used auto parts were ordered incorrectly (incorrect information) or was sent back as part of the 30 day "no hassle" warranty.


How can I check on the status of my used auto parts?

Most parts will ship within 3 Tto 10 days. If you feel you have waited too long, please call our office 7000 1180 and we will track it for you.


What if my part is damaged in shipping?

You must sign for the shipment as "received damaged". As the carrier is responsible for the used auto part if you sign for it as DAMAGED. After signing for and receiving the damaged part, contact us by phone to start the damage claim and part replacement process. We will instruct you on the procedure. We photograph our packages before they leave our office. Please take a photograph of the package if you have a camera. Do not dispose of the packing material. Sometimes it is needed to show the carrier that the package was mis-handled.
